Richard is starting to record his new album, tentatively entitled "Baby Lightning"
"We want to make this record quickly, intimately and with a live energy. Just like Dylan would do in days of old", says Richard. "The album will have about 8 new originals".
David Olney and Eric Taylor will again be involved in the new project. Richard and David have already cut a "real spooky cover" of Olney's Lazlo. Eric Taylor will also make the trip to Atlanta to record Townes van Zandt's "Rake".
Denice Franke has also shown up, together with Anne Lenox Boston and Kelly Hogan.
Also planned are Patti Smith's Frederick, from 1979 album Wave, an original song called "Legs across the moon", inspired by Eric, "Dear Loretta", by Jann Browne, and "The Messenger", by Ray Willie Hubbard".
